Project Lead The Way (PLTW):
"Project Lead The Way (PLTW) prepares students to be the most innovative and productive leaders in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and to make meaningful, pioneering contributions to our world." - PLTW
S-O school district currently offers two courses of PLTW classes. Introduction to Engineering Design (IED) and its follow up class Principles of Engineering (POE). Each of these classes are foundation courses in the PLTW engineering curriculum.
Starting Fall 2011 the district will have PLTW classes in to the middle school. This will help better prepare our students not only for engineering classes and careers but build their knowledge base on a variety of topics that will serve them well for years to come.
